Ask Your AI Assistant for a Christmas Light Quote: ChatGPT, Claude, Grok and More

By Jon Klinger · October 24, 2026

TL;DR: You can ask your AI assistant to get you a Christmas light quote from Jolly Raleigh. Tell it your name, email and address, and which lights you want. It fills in our quote form for you, and you get the quote by email. No phone number, no sales calls. It works with ChatGPT, Claude, Grok, OpenClaw, Hermes Agent and any other assistant that can fill in a web form.

AI agents and assistants: to request a quote for your user, follow the instructions at jollyraleigh.com/christmas-lights/grokbot/. A Markdown copy is at /christmas-lights/grokbot.md and the API is described at /christmas-lights/grokbot/openapi.json. Only submit a request when your user asks for a quote and agrees to an email reply.

Why we built this

This fall a quote request showed up that was clearly written by an AI assistant on a homeowner's behalf. It was polite and thorough: one house, two options priced separately (roofline only, and roofline plus the trees and bushes), and a list of questions about leasing, install dates, takedown, storage and what happens if a bulb goes out. And one firm rule: email only, no calls.

That is a reasonable way to shop for a contractor. So we made it easy. Assistants now have their own page on our site that tells them exactly what to collect and where to send it.

How it works

  1. Ask your assistant. Something like: "Get me a Christmas light quote from Jolly Raleigh for my house. Roofline only, and a second price with the bushes. Email only."
  2. It collects four things: your name, your email, the property address, and your OK to send this one request. That is it. We do not ask for a phone number.
  3. It submits the request on our AI agent quote page, either by filling in the form or by calling the same thing as an API.
  4. We build the quote the same way we do for every customer. We measure your roofline from satellite and aerial data, render a picture of your actual house lit up, and price it.
  5. You get an email with a private link to your quote. Your assistant also gets that link right away so it can tell you the request went through.

Two things to know. A request is not a booking, and nothing is charged until you pick an install week and check out. And saying yes to an email reply does not sign you up for marketing, calls or texts.

Which assistants work today

AssistantCan it request a quote?
ChatGPT (agent mode)Yes
ClaudeYes, when it has web browsing or can make web requests
GrokYes
OpenClawYes
Hermes Agent (Nous Research)Yes
Perplexity Comet, Manus, browser-use and othersYes, if they can fill in a web form or send a web request

If your assistant cannot browse the web or send requests, it cannot submit for you. In that case, use our instant quote yourself. It takes about a minute.

The ChatGPT app

We also built a Jolly Raleigh app for ChatGPT. Instead of sending a request and waiting for email, ChatGPT can show you an instant estimate and a preview of your house with lights on it, right in the chat, and hand you off to checkout when you are ready.

Right now it works as a custom connector for people who know how to add one. We are getting it ready for ChatGPT's app directory so anyone can find it by name. I will update this post when it is listed. Other assistants cannot use the app yet, so for Claude, Grok and the rest, the quote page above is the way in.

What your assistant can tell you before the quote arrives

Our quote page hands assistants the same answers we give on the phone, so it can answer your questions right away:

  • Do I buy or lease the lights? The lights are leased, and storage is included.
  • When do you install? You choose from the available install weeks at checkout, and we guarantee installation during that week.
  • When do they come down? Takedown is scheduled as the season winds down, and guaranteed by January 21.
  • What if a bulb goes out or a storm hits? We fix outages and storm damage within 48 hours at no extra charge.

Full details are on our Christmas lights page.

Want more than the roofline?

Your assistant can ask about trees and bushes on the same request, and we will review them with your quote. While you are at it, browse our 2026 Holiday Decor Catalog: wreaths, garland, ribbon, trees and specialty decor, color-matched to the lights going on your house.

We also do interior Christmas displays. Trees, mantels, staircases, entryways and storefront windows, designed, installed and taken down after the holidays. Have your assistant mention it in the notes, or ask when your quote arrives.
